Who doesn’t want to rank well in Google search? Good Ranking can bring lots of traffic which any website owner will look forward to. Unfortunately, it’s not something that you can achieve easily. For some people, it takes months or even years of active work. I’m not saying it’s impossible. You just need to put efforts on a daily basis e.g. writing unique and fresh content. But even if you can’t maintain site regularly you can still use some WordPress plugins to make it search engine friendly. I have made a list of some good plugins that can help you with search engine optimization.

This is one of the best free SEO plugins for WordPress. It allows you to set a template for any page title and description. You can also set an indexing option for a particular page. Keywords, description for any post/page is customizable. You can preview to see how it will appear in search engine. Other important options that are also available with this plugin: internal linking, breadcrumbs, permalinks clean up, RSS enhancement, etc. I believe this is a must-use plugin for any WordPress site.

This is a light-weight SEO plugin. It allows you to set a title, list of keywords for any template page. You can also add a custom box for each post/page. It’s very important that you define tags and categories while publishing a new post/page because All-in-One SEO Pack can convert these into keywords automatically.
- Google XML Sitemaps
This plugin creates a sitemap for you so major search engines e.g. Google, Yahoo, Bing can crawl your website content easily. If you publish new content it will automatically notify search engine as well as update the sitemap. You can also choose what to include in the sitemap.
- SEO Ultimate
This plugin comes with different modules to help you optimize your site. For example 404 error, canonical URL, permalinks, share options. You can also customize the meta description, meta keywords, robot tags and so on.
- Google Analyticator
This plugin allows you to connect Google Analytics to your site. But there are so much more that you can do with it. For example Monitor site usage, Monitor top views, referrers, searches, and Track download link, event, site speed

This plugin allows you to view Google Analytics data on your WP Dashboard. You can also embed parts of the data into your post.

This plugin allows you to easily optimize your website. You can set title tags, description, alt text, etc.

This is a light-weight SEO plugin for WordPress. This plugin automatically checks your draft, post or page and make suggestions on how you can improve it for a better search result.
